With the departure of Prince I thought it was within my musically driven mind to share with you a few r&b songs that will forever move me. It's so many more but i'll post 4 artist/songs that get me in my feelings. I hope you enjoy them all and remember to listen to the lyrics... it's poetry in motion.

1. Prince - Most beautiful girl in the world. 

Growing up i wasn't the most outgoing person and i pretty much stayed to myself and did what i had to do to get through school work and everything else. Didn't have a daddy around to tell me i was beautiful. So this song reminds men that it means everything to a little girl/woman to have the man in her life tell her how beautiful she is. 2. Shanice - Yesterday

Ever been in love and didn't want to let it go? Well Shanice made me understand you can't hold on to things that hurt you in the past. Everyone does not deserve a second chance. Sorry not sorry. Listen...

3. Glady Knight, Brandy, Tamia, and Chaka Kahn - Missing You

This song holds something special between me and my sister and mother. My sister is still here on Earth but if she wasn't I would miss her and carry on like she would want me to. My mom will always be my big sister girl. Sisterhood is so important. We have to stand strong together in this world of craziness. Listen..

4.  Mariah Carey ft BoyzIIMen - One Sweet Day

This song is just confirmation to me that we have to know we will meet our loved ones again on the other side. My one sweet day was when my mom told me she was proud of me (she always told me) but a week before she died was most important because she also said i did a great job trying to manage my life and my issues. She knew i would be okay. I love my momma. I'll see her again.

5.  Fantasia - Lose to Win

I love this artist because she performs like she is the only one in the room. Annointing comess in teh secular world too. In life you cant win them all and you have lose alot of things before you win the race. I cried when i first listened this cd. She left her heart on this one.

Bonus 6. Mary J. Blige - Take me as I am

I'm a Mary J fan from beginning to end and this song almost tops them all. No more drama and My life are both my faves. Take me as i am or have nothing at all... i got alot of flaws but i deserve a love that embraces all of me and vice versa.

Feeling like a plum dumb fool right now...not a new feeling but a uneasy feeling. Sometimes giving your best ain't good enough. Its like some are so use to the world being  against them they don't know how to handle it when someone has their best interest at heart. You want them to succeed and have something to be proud of. Give them the opportunity to hold their head high even if its not the best circumstances. We all need the support love and even the honesty from the ones they love. Its called unconditional love.When you are programmed in your head that "i'm right and everyone else is wrong" you clearly have life messed up. Obviously your ducks are not completely in a row if shit still is not going in a positive direction. I'm not into kicking people when they are down..never have never will cause i know what that feels like. I'll give a person my last so they won't go hungry angry or be embarrassed but will they go the extra mile for me? Not that i ask for reciprocation for everything i do, but you really do get tired of the lack of support and the extra bullshit that you don't really gotta go through to show a person that you care. Its indeed getting old....real old.

I think you can...just cause a relationship ends and another one begins doesn't mean you don't still have feelings for the person you once were head over heels for. It turns into a different kind of love at that point.

Like the song Jasmine Sullivan sings "I'm in love with another man" she didn't tell her boo that she didn't love him any less but she did say my heart it with someone else. I would recommend leading two people on cause they will not understand why you are conflicted especially if they are planted into the relationship.

Another song Who will i choose by Chris Bender he says "one girl fulfill my physical needs, the other other girl provides for me mentally" He has different reasons why he loves these two women. It's not right but that's where his heart is..
My answer is yes you can but you have to choose eventually...

Day 6 - Love and Truth Challenge - Tru Love

Day 6- What is your idea of true love?

True love to me is love you never have to question. You never have to doubt that the person is for you and you for them. You know in your heart and soul that this may be the one for you.

True love is always seen in my kids eyes they love their mother so much and since the day i discovered they were floating around in my pelvic area i knew i would have love forever. That's my guaranteed true love.

When your heart pitter patters every time he or she is in the same room. When they are hurting you are hurting. When your on cloud nine they are floating right next to you. You never have to ask yourself is this too much, no its just right. True love doesn't mean birds chirping and flowers blooming all the time.

There should never be a thought that every day will be perfect. You will argue, disagree, you will not see eye to eye on every single thing. If you do agree on EVERYTHING, to me something wrong and the shit will hit the fan sooner or later. Its okay to differ in opinion but come to a fair compromise.

True love is unquestionable. Unbreakable and has no rules. Its unconditional flaws and all.

4. Favorite Love Song and why?




Whew lawd …I have a lot of favorites. Right now I’m hooked on this song above by Timothy Bloom called Til the end of time. I’ll share the lyrics and video with you. His song makes me think long and hard about what I want. I wish for longevity, open communication, and trust. It’s a beautiful song. The video is so free and makes a clear statement about black love. Again like I said I have many favorites but this one gets extra spins on my mp3 player.
